Safeguarding Children Partnership - Fixed Term for 24 months.

The Tower Hamlets Safeguarding Children Partnership (THSCP) is jointly owned by the Local Authority, Integrated Care Board and Metropolitan Police.

The Partnership ensures compliance and quality assurance regarding safeguarding across key agencies, runs multi-agency improvement projects and statutory reviews and ensures training is joined up.


About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Safeguarding Children Partnership.


The role is to support the THSCP, statutory partners, Independent Scrutineer, and Strategy Manager in delivering a mature local children's safeguarding offer, holding the local system to account.

The role sits in the council's Strategy and Commissioning (Children's Services) team and works closely with the operational services from various partner agencies.

You will support high-level boards and partnership groups to facilitate change and drive multi-agency strategic improvement. This will include governance and administration support for delivery of the system's arrangements and procedures. You will also be enrolled into a level 4 governance qualification.


About you
To fulfil this role effectively, you will need to have:

  • 12 Months experience in governance or administration
  • Level 3 equivalent qualification alongside, GCSEs in Maths and English at a level 4 /C
  • Excellent knowledge of office procedures and understanding governance and board processes
  • Knowledge in coordinating and supporting developing administration and business processes
  • Understanding of working in a partnership environment
  • Passionate about Children's Safeguarding
You will be required to comply with the DBS check processes within this role.
