About the role


This role will involve working as part of the Passenger Services Team and with the wider Terminal Operation/Business Partners; to oversee and monitor every aspect of the hold baggage system, so as to coordinate its safe and efficient running; whilst responding to issues in order to maintain continuous airport operations.

This role is not limited to but will also include:

  • Effectively coordinating departmental activities, to include allocating and prioritising departmental work activities by communicating with colleagues, business partners and supervisory staff, whilst manning the SCADA Control Hub.
  • Completing all supporting records and paperwork, this will include two daily belt reports giving an insight on how the belts have been working that day. Including pre and post equipment checks, reporting all faults and defects to the PSDM or Airport Duty Manager (ADM.)
  • In line with operational requirements respond to interruptions and blockages of the baggage belt system and give a detailed explanation on what caused it.
  • Ensuring that you consistently provide an exceptional level of customer service, whilst delivering all aspects of the departmental remit in accordance with the company customer service ethos.
  • Working collaboratively with other NIAL departments and business partners as appropriate, in order to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Working safely and contributing towards the achievement of departmental and corporate health and safety targets and objectives.
  • Ensuring that prescribed standards set by the company and its regulators are consistently adopted.
