Manufacturing Specialist:

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role:

As a Manufacturing Specialist working in our Lyocell fibre production plant, you will provide technical and practical support to ensure that safety, quality and output targets are met.

As well as playing a key part in investigating internal quality deviations and driving continuous improvement, you will work closely with the shift teams to achieve consistency of operational practices, and to ensure that risk assessments, safe working practices and competency tests are updated accordingly.

**Principal Accountabilities: - You will provide technical and practical process support including equipment availability, readiness and maintenance; problem solving; troubleshooting and employee welfare

  • You will be responsible for the review and control of relevant Risk Assessments (RA) and Standard Working Procedures (SWP) and Competence Assessment, ensuring currency, relevance, standardisation and the incorporation of best practice
  • You will provide training and competency assessment of production personnel in their area
  • You will review short
- to mid-term production data / statistics and quality reports to plan and modify manufacturing activities

  • You will investigate internal quality deviations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are in place to prevent or minimise the risk of reoccurrence
  • You will be responsible for maintaining the vulnerability and opportunity lists for your area
  • You will act as area authorised person for control of work and permit author where required

Our expectations for this exciting role:

  • You have minimum GCSE Maths and English Language grade A
  • C or equivalent
  • You hold a relevant degree / HND (desirable, but not essential)
  • You have experience of process engineering / operation
  • You are experienced in the collection, manipulation and use of data and the use & understanding of manufacturing control systems such as SCADA; and you have experience of developing and delivering presentations
  • You can demonstrate a safe, positive, mature and responsible attitude; and you have a proactive approach to continuous improvement in the Safety and Quality aspects of the work
  • You are a good, thoughtful communicator with the ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team

The monthly gross salary for this position is according to collective agreement in the chemical industry based on 38 working hours/week at least EUR xxx.

with a willingness to overpay - depending on qualifications and experience.
Additionally you will also take part in the Lenzing bonus system.
