Assembly Technician / Machinist - Permanent - Telford

L & C Consulting are recruiting with a well-established, successful manufacturer in central Telford.

They are looking for a new (Mechanical) Assembly Technician / Machinist, to join them on a permanent basis, to work on a day shift at their Telford site within a small team.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

Final product assembly using a variety of hand and CNC tools and machinery
Using Automatic saws
Operating CNC Router
Milling & Drilling
Working to minimise scrap / cut offs
Stock replenishment
Calibration, QC and maintenance duties

This is skilled assembly and you MUST have a sound mechanical background in a precision assembly / Machining / Machine Operating.

Experience with reading technical drawings is advantageous. As is experience with Verniers is also advantageous.

Off-site work is occasionally required so you will ideally have your own transport; you must also be well presented and have excellent communication skills.

The site is accessible from Shrewsbury, Telford, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Walsall, Newport, Shifnal, Bridgnorth etc
