We have a great opportunity to work as a Controller as part of a 24-hour shift team.

As a Controller for this site, you will be responsible for actively monitoring and operating control room systems and radio transmissions to help in coordinating and directing security response to protect the Museum's estate, including its collections and assets, and maintaining a secure and safe environment for visitors, staff, and contractors.

You will carry out routine tests of Fire, Safety and Security equipment as directed by the Supervisor and maintain a secure system for providing data in accordance with the Museum requirements and ensure that security of the Control Room and CCTV equipment is always maintained.

Essential skills

Demonstrate excellent customer service.
SIA DS licence
CCTV licence
Hold excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to work both day and night shifts.
Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure;
Be physically able to carry out duties.
Hold a willingness to work cooperatively and constructively with both your peer group and the leadership provided by department supervisors and management.
Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
