Information Systems Services (ISS) is a dynamic, friendly and supportive division, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join the Faculty IT Team as a Junior Systems Administrator (Software Specialist).

The role involves the packaging, deployment, updating and maintenance of the wide variety of software available on the university's AppsAnywhere platform.

The role-holder will provide support and troubleshooting assistance for software delivery issues and will work with key stakeholders to ensure that software is up-to-date and provides the functionality needed for teaching and lab use.

Applicants for this post should have:

Experience of working in a team-based IT service environment
Excellent analytical, technical and communications skills
Ability to combine technical and problemsolving skills with a strong userfocus to ensure excellent service and support

One or more of the following would be advantageous:

Experience of software packaging and deployment; in particular knowledge of the AppsAnywhere software delivery platform and/or packaging for Intune would be beneficial
Experience of working in the Higher Education sector
Experience of working with Linux clients

This is a full time, indefinite post based on campus.
