Buxted Construction Ltd, a family run construction company (£75m turnover), is searching for an administrator for maternity cover months) on a short-term contract.
The position offers a great opportunity for an individual to develop and learn new skills in a busy friendly office, whether they have worked in an office before or not, adding a wide range of experience to their CV.
The company specialises in groundworks working for major developers in the house-building sector.
The successful applicant will provide administration support to the Commercial and Health & Safety departments, and more general help in other areas of the company including managing incoming calls and cover when staff are on holiday or absent.
Duties will include document management for tenders and contracts, Health & Safety training, administration and reporting, plus other general office duties.
The position could suit a graduate wishing to move into office work or someone with previous office experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
You should show a positive attitude, demonstrate attention to detail, have good organisation skills and be able to communicate well on the telephone.
While knowledge of Office IT systems and databases would be an advantage, full training will be given.
The position will be based initially in offices in Brasted, but the Company is moving to new premises in West Kingsdown in Spring 2023.
Office hours are Monday - Friday pm. 25 days holiday per annum, plus 8no statutory holidays (pro-rata).
A pension with employer and employee contributions will be arranged, and membership to the company healthcare scheme will be offered for the duration of the contract.
