KTP Associate - Skin Image Analysis using AI:

Salary:
£40,000 - £50,000 p.a. plus, a Personal Development budget of £4,833


This role will be based at the company partner's premises in the Nexus building at the University of Leeds.

Do you hold a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline? Do you have expertise programming in machine learning or image analysis, ideally in Python, and preferably with knowledge of the healthcare and/or veterinary industry? Would you like to launch your career in industry?


The University of Leeds has an opportunity for you to 'fast track' your career in industry by leading on a project to provide an automated decision support tool by using AI to assess images of pets, to help owners and vets diagnose and treat skin disease.

Through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), you will be working in collaboration with an award winning vet-tech company, Vet-AI Limited, and the prestigious Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Leeds.


As a KTP Associate you will be expected to manage this project and effectively transfer knowledge from the academic knowledge base at The University of Leeds to Vet-AI Limited with the aim of developing an AI tool within Vet-AI's existing app to monitor pet skin disease progression, alerting owners and vets to changes over time to instil confidence in owners and inform clinical decisions.

You will be working with academics at the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, and the Software Team at Vet-AI Limited where you will have access to cutting edge research resources, interdisciplinary links between departments, and scientific expertise to assist you in building a beyond state-of-the-art tool to help owners and vets identify and monitor pet health issues.
