HR Assistant
Leading house builder William Davis Homes is seeking an experienced HR Assistant to support the Company's HR function for over 400 employees across its Loughborough Head Office and Midlands construction sites.
This generalist HR support role requires a proactive person to get involved in a wide range of day-to-day HR processes and projects.
Key responsibilities include;
- Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries from employees, managers, and directors
- General HR administrative support incl issuing contracts, coordinating recruitment activities, processing new starters and leavers
- Maintaining employee records and HR systems
- Supporting employee training and development
- Coordinating occupational health initiatives
- Carrying out regular construction site visits
- Implement and promote changing HR legislation
- Assisting with disciplinary/grievance investigations
- Coordinating company apprenticeship programme
- Demonstrate experience in a similar HR support role
- Have a basic knowledge of key employment legislation
- Be able to proactively build relationships with both head office and site teams
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have a good knowledge of Microsoft office
- A construction industry background would be advantageous.
- A CIPD qualification is preferable
- Driving license essential
