Key Focus:

The key focus of this role is to provide administrative support to the Construction Department.

As a StreetWorks and Noticing Co-ordinator you will be building relationships with all our internal and external parties, coordinating noticing with our Contractors and Local Highways Authorities, as well as making sure that there is ample work for our Contractors and being a point of contact for any issues that may arise.


This role will report to:

Streetworks and Noticing Manager

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Identify foreseeable project risks and escalate to the Senior Street Works and Noticing Supervisor for review with the Manager
  • Ensure all permits are processed in a timely manner, ensuring the 2hr FDT rule is adhered to at all times
  • Ensure permit statuses are communicated to Field Supervisors and Contractors
  • Raising, modifying and validating permits with local authorities
  • Produce noticing status reports; manage defect reworks on a weekly basis
  • Coordinating start to finish civil activities
  • Monitor the daily Civils report and update permits accordingly, liaising with the Civils Supervisors when required
  • Support the Senior Street Works Coordinator on weekly meetings with Contractors, ensuring they have a full schedule of works ahead
  • Ensure the planning schedule is 3 weeks ahead at all times
  • Liaise with the Field Supervisors daily to ensure works are completed as per the schedule
  • Provide constructive feedback and support the team members on daytoday duties
  • Provide telephone and system support
  • Providing general administrative support to the Senior Street Works and Noticing Coordinators and the Street Work and Noticing Manager as required
  • Promoting improvements in Safety in line with the objectives set by the SHEQ Manager
  • Any adhoc duties as requested by the Senior Street Works and Noticing Coordinators and the Street Works and Noticing Manager
  • Some overtime may be required

Person Spec:


Qualifications and Experience:


  • 2+ years of administration experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) skills
  • Confident and proficient with technology
  • Interest in FTTP (desirable)
  • Previous knowledge of telecommunication construction (desirable)
  • Proficient in using and managing Exor, SWNS, Eton, and Street Manager work streams (desirable)
  • Symology experience (desirable)
  • GCSE Maths & English passes
  • Clear understanding of operational delivery in a commercially focused business environment and timely delivery of customer requirements
  • Adaptable to change
  • Ability to selfmotivate and work well within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent people skills and telephone manner
  • Detail oriented and analytical
  • Thrives in a multitasking environment and can adjust priorities onthefly
  • A general ability to learn and use a variety of software/apps/digital media
  • Experience in highway permitting schemes (desirable)
