What you'll be doing

Hachette UK, one of the leading book publishers in the UK, is looking for a highly organised and self-motivated International Sales Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Group International Sales department working across all Hachette UK divisions (excluding Hodder Education).


Reporting to one of the International Sales Directors and the Head of International Sales & Product, (who between them have direct responsibility for Australia, New Zealand, North America and India), you will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from creating sales materials, project managing the production of a US catalogue, managing proofs from across the group for the international team, running sales reports and providing key admin support.

You will work with a wide variety of colleagues, some remotely in other territories and across all divisions of Hachette UK divisions (excluding Hodder Education).

Who we are looking for

We're looking for a strong team player who has excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, an ability to multi-task and prioritise, and an enthusiasm for working in a fast-moving commercial environment.

We need someone who is interested in publishing, loves books and can talk about them with conviction and passion.


You'll need to be proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), a degree of publishing experience would be an advantage, as is any form of experience in an office environment.
