Kettle's Yard is looking for a creative and passionate individual for the role of Assistant Curator, House & Collection. The house and permanent collection are the heart of Kettle's Yard, founded by Jim and Helen Ede.

Working closely with the Senior Curator, the Assistant Curator will support the care and conservation of the house, collection and archive, preserving and enriching the collections for current and future generations.


The role of Assistant Curator has the care and management of the collections at its core, as well as developing and supporting projects, activities, publications and exhibitions to support Kettle's Yard's mission to inspire and engage audiences through art, learning and research.


The successful applicant will have a demonstrable interest in British 20th century art and experience of collections management within a museum or gallery environment.

A confident communicator, with excellent writing skills, the post holder will enjoy both the day-to-day practicalities of collections care as well sharing their passion for the collections with the public, students, and researchers.

Working with colleagues, the Assistant Curator will be actively engaged in supporting the development of new perspectives on the house and collection including researching under - represented histories and voices.
