Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Support other Functional Specialists to deliver the People Solution's solution for Core HCM, building relationships with key stakeholders to agree a continuous improvement for the way in which core HR transactions and processes are delivered.
  • Maintenance, change requests and upgrades across Workday HCM, Core Comp, and Onboarding.
  • Assess all change impacts, following the governance model in place to reduce risk and identify improvement.
  • Configure and maintain reports that fall under the category of HCM.
  • Configure and maintain any updates to the business processes and security policies.
  • Data management; correcting and uploading data through Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).
  • Test any new functionality or upgrades/releases.
  • Actively work and support resolutions of issues escalated; manage incidents, track ticket status' and partner with other support teams as necessary to meet resolution SLA's.
  • Identify and recommend processes areas that could be simplified, improved, or changed; to enhance user experience and drive simplification.
  • Support in maintaining training activities and materials, including user guides, FAQ, recorded demos, Sharepoint content, etc.
  • Project support as requirement; disentanglement, new functionality, new modules etc.

What we'd like from you

  • You have knowledge and experience with the delivery of HR processes, data and systems, including Workday.
  • You have the ability to proactively troubleshoot issues and conduct knowledge transfer with end users.
  • You are highly analytical and have a customer service mindset.
  • You have passion for simplification and continuous improvement.
  • You have experience of working in a global organisation.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You are aligned to Arriva's values: caring passionately, doing the right thing and making a difference.

Desirably, we'd like you to have;_

  • Experience of core HR processes and interaction between HR and payroll/other external systems such as time recording and recruiting.
  • Experience of dealing with multinational organisations.
  • Experience of multibusiness implementations.
  • Experience of sales & divestitures and the impact on Workday.
  • Attained or to be working towards Workday Pro for HCM Core.
