Location:
Hybrid (1-2 days in the Porton Down or Portsdown office initially, with the remainder WFH)

As a Service Management Specialist your main responsibilities would be:

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of a SIAM function across multiple Service Delivery areas and align with best practice across Industry and Gov.
  • Testing and assurance of processes and data, in particular, providing governance over thirdparty suppliers.
  • Identify and feed in requirements in order to support the delivery of new tooling (Service Now).
  • Engage with and influence the wider Service team to ensure full integration across the SIAM.
  • Coaching and mentoring of colleagues to successfully upskill and transition knowledge, ensuring continued success of the SIAM in the longterm.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for key priorities and tasks, leading and inspiring the engagement of others through personal commitment.

Essential:

-
Active SC security clearance

  • A sound understanding of ITIL methodology and service management best practices.
  • Extensive experience in a Senior Service Management role, able to design processes and procedures from the ground up.
  • Can provide assurance that data is accurate and processes and policies are followed.
  • Experienced in working across technical boundaries, linking IT Service Portfolio delivery, building new Services from the ground up, and working with and supporting Service Owners to enable Service delivery.
  • Experience of governing the work of third party suppliers.
  • Exemplary communication skills, enabling them to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience of capturing and transferring knowledge to develop colleagues.
  • ITIL 3 Foundation Certified.
