Description
We are seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to join our team at a steel stockist company.

As a Night Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the night shift team to ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership and management skills to ensure the highest level of safety, quality, and productivity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the night shift team, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to the night shift team, ensuring that all work is completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment, identifying and resolving issues that may impact production or quality.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure effective coordination and cooperation across the organization.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members to improve performance and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and other relevant data.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Overhead Crane Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the steel industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and weekends.

Salary:
£14.00-£15.00 per hour
