The main place of work is Greenbank Sports Academy, Greenbank Lane,
Liverpool.

Situated alongside the picturesque Sefton Park in Liverpool, the Greenbank Project
Charity provides a variety of Educational and Sporting services for people from within and around the Liverpool City Region.

Job Purpose


As part of the government-funded holiday activity and food (HAF) programme, over 100 providers across the city have been successful in securing funding to offer free sessions which include sports, music, arts and other exciting opportunities to learn and develop skills, as well as providing lunch and snacks to the participants.

The HAF programme is designed for children who receive benefits-related free school meals but places are available for other children too.

Greenbank require a coordinator who will oversee the running of camps and provide support in recruiting, managing and developing staff, volunteers and participants


Main Duties and Responsibilities

Support the delivery of the HAF programme delivered by Greenbank: This role will report to the Sports Development Manager setting up and monitoring project plans and individual session plans for each day, liaising with participants, parent/guardians, staff, Merseyside Play Action Council, schools, community organisations and other delivery partners, troubleshooting issues that may arise. You will support staff to plan delivery and manage participant's individual plans and any SEND requirements. You will also be required to lead some activities while promoting the benefits of healthy and active living.

Support the financial and governance integrity of the programme: This role will be responsible for monitoring and managing the purchases required for the camp, and making necessary arrangements with suppliers. The post holder will be responsible for the collection of key policies and other key diligence materials, to maintain the high standard of the Greenbank HAF programme, with support from staff and the Sports Development Manager.

Build and reinforce relationships: Together with the Sport Development Manager and wider Greenbank team, this role develops professional and trusting relationships with key existing and potential stakeholders. This might include MPAC organisational provider list, parents, guardians and wider stakeholders. Signposting is a key feature of programme and the post holder will need to be confident in making referrals if appropriate and passing relevant information onto the HAF family. The post holder will also select external trips and manage risk assessments, transport arrangements and site visits, if appropriate.

Manage feedback and reporting processes of young people and parents: This role will work with the Sport Development Manager to support young people, parents/guardians, and staff with the registration processes, and also support the creation and collection of provider, parent and young people feedback surveys, and collection of visual imagery throughout the camps.

Contribute to the effective management of data: This post holder will work with the Sports Development Manager to ensure that all grant agreements, due diligence forms and reporting are properly recorded utilizing existing databases and software systems. This function supports HAF reporting back to Merseyside Play Action Council, Liverpool City Council, Sutton Croft and the Department for Education.

Communications and Marketing support: The post holder will work with the Sports Development Manager and Greenbank Operational Manager to design a communication plan for the HAF summer programme, including via social media and mailchimp newsletter.

Representing Greenbank - Together with the Sports Development Manager, this role will represent the HAF team at appropriate events and training sessions, always serving as an ambassador to the Greenbank and our work.
