    We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at a leading Recycling & Waste Management company.

    This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, based in NW London. The role requires an immediate start.

    The Role:

    • Collaborate with the senior management team and external consultants to develop and implement a long-term sustainability strategy focused on achieving net-zero goals and client-centric environmental sustainability objectives.
    • Lead the delivery of our 2040 Scopes 1 and 2 net zero target, including finalizing our Scope 1 and 2 carbon strategy for 2026 and achieving interim carbon reduction targets.
    • Work closely with the team to establish a Scope 3 carbon target, involving data collection and screening, and collaborating to develop and deliver a long-term strategy to achieve this goal.
    • Oversee the implementation and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring compliance with ISO14001 and other relevant standards, as well as integration of carbon and all other relevant sustainability programs.
    • Provide leadership to the environmental sustainability team.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field, or equivalent experience and/or training.
    • Knowledge of waste management, carbon measurement, and relevant environmental legislation.
    • Experience in planning and delivering major environmental projects.
    • Ideal candidate will have experience reporting through CDP, EcoVadis, or other sustainability platforms.
    • A valid driving license is essential.
