Salary Actual £20,000 - £22,000 Negotiable dependent on school experience for a six month contract

We are currently looking to recruit a dynamic and resilient Receptionist on a six month contract.

The ContinU Plus Academy is an innovative and exciting Alternative Provision Secondary Free School based in Kidderminster. Our academy is now in its Ninth year, and recently achieved an Outstanding grading in all categories at Ofsted.

We are an educational provider for vulnerable and disengaged students in the Wyre Forest and Hagley area. All staff here are deeply committed to the wellbeing safeguarding and academic progress of our pupils.

We work together as a close knit team to ensure pupils at our school receive high quality and bespoke educational provision.

About the role


The post requires the successful applicant to offer a professional reception and administrative support service to students, staff, parents and visitors to the college.

You will have strong communication skills, both oral and written and be able to demonstrate a flexible and customer focused approach.


  • To be the first point of contact at reception
  • To deal with parents, students, staff and visitor enquiries
  • Operate the main telephone switchboard
  • To deal with deliveries to the school
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Understand, support and cover student reception as needed
