About you:


Main objectives of job:


  • To Maintain Accurate Financial Records.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Provide effective communication of financial information across the charity.
  • Complete the daytoday financial tasks for the charity.

Main duties:


  • Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records using accounting software (Liberty accounts).
  • Processing invoices and expenses and making payments
  • Raising invoices, posting all bank transactions, chasing debts, liaising with parents and schools.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.


Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for review by the Finance Manager or Chief Executive Officer.


  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, as well as internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
  • Communicate regularly with staff members and stakeholders regarding financial matters and provide support and guidance as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Chief Executive Officer.
  • Monthly payroll
  • Report to Finance manager.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or charitable organization.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Create Hope.

Person Specification:


Skills/qualifications:


  • Selfmotivated and able to work independently.
  • Experience and understanding of CRM.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or charitable organization.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good people skills, approachable manner, and willingness to invest time into people's lives.

Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
Up to £25,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 8 per week
