A highly rewarding opportunity has arisen for a SENCO in a large Sefton secondary school.

The position is a temporary role to start as soon as possible and will continue on an ongoing basis with the potential to be made permanent.

The school will considersomeone on a full or part time basis.

You will be joining an Ofsted rated 'Good' school with good quality leadership and a culture of high expectations. The school is a mixed, 11-18 Academy with over 1400 pupils. Staff are proud to work at this school and feel highly valued. Salary is dependenton experience and will range from £25,714- £36,961 per annum.


As the SENCO, you will be responsible for maintaining the relationships with parents, teachers and external contacts to ensure the steady progress of pupils.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out assessments of pupils with SEN to identify needs and monitoring progress

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold an enhanced DBS for working with children (on the update service), or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
  • Have a complete 10 year work history
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references including from your most recent employer
