This is a 12-month contract, with potential to extend, offering flexible hours, with a mix of working from home, in the community and office based


Offices are based in Lichfield, Staffordshire and the role will require some travel across Staffordshire, which reasonable expenses are paid for.

This is a great opportunity to work for a charity who celebrate their 20thanniversary this year.

The charities aims and values are to ensure people with mental health conditions are seen and their voices are heard.

To keep this essential service running they need to generate new revenue and funding streams.


What we need from you as a Fundraising Officer:

  • Experienced in fundraising for third sector organisations
  • Have a good understanding and acceptance of legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of charity funding and financial needs
  • You are able to offer commitment to the job role
  • Have a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort in a hybrid working environment
  • Possess a level of strategic funding vision
  • Have good, independent judgement
  • Have an ability to think creatively
  • Have a willingness to speak your mind
  • An ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Strong relationship building qualities
  • You will also need a full UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle

What the role involves:

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the completion of all required funding reports
  • Create copy for funding reports and to coordinate with staff across services to ensure they provide information or copy as appropriate
  • Work closely with the Project Managers and the COO to identify relevant projects and activities for funding
  • Keeping accurate records of all funding outcomes, outputs, and targets agreed with funders, and work with Senior Leadership team to ensure that data is gathered to measure these
  • Work with the Chair and Treasurer on projected income and expenditure in line with planned activities
  • Compile and provide reports and data for stakeholder and internal use
  • Help to ensure that accurate and up to date financial and supporter records are maintained and accessible
  • Ensure that the fundraising function complies with all current fundraising regulation and guidance (Code of Fundraising Practice, OSCR guidance) and GDPR and Data Protection Act
  • Maintain professional knowledge and competence on both company policies and regulatory standards
  • Develop solid understanding of the charity and the services provided to support the job role
  • Maintain an accurate and uptodate database of all grant making trusts

Salary/hours:
£30,000 pa (pro rata) Working 21 hours per week - flexible, between 9am to 5pm. May include occasional out of hours work for which time off in lieu is available with agreement.
