Description

The role

The Assistant Chaplain has an important role as a member of the Chaplaincy in supporting the welfare of all pupils and staff, contributing to and in some cases lead weekday and Sunday services, supporting Confirmation preparation and deputising for the Chaplain as required.

The School

Oundle School is one of the country's leading co-educational boarding and day schools, with 840 boarding and 300 day pupils from Year A further 260 day pupils attend Laxton Junior School from Reception to Year 6.

Oundelians are able and curious.

They expect to work hard and are encouraged to aim high across the full range of curricular and co-curricular opportunities.

They are also decent, grounded young people who deserve the very best from us as their school in preparing them for fulfilling lives.

Oundle School is a Christian Foundation with an Anglican history and tradition. The Memorial Chapel is centrally placed and is the chief meeting place for the School community. It is much loved.

Living in Oundle
We are fortunate in our location at the heart of a beautiful market town.

School and town are part of the same community and our pupils take their place within this community, not isolated from it.

The town has a spirited cultural life, with an annual international festival, literature festival, and frequent performances of nationally touring shows at the School's Stahl Theatre.

Subsidised accommodation may be available, as for all staff joining Oundle, in the first instance for up to two years.

Other benefits include a salary commensurate with the experience of the postholder and generous fee remission for qualifying children at Oundle School and Laxton Junior School.
