THE JOB BRIEF
We are looking for a Hose Assembly Production Operative to join our team, to assist and improve our PTFE hose production lines and warehouse facility.
You will perform various daily tasks, including operating and maintaining the production and testing machinery used in hose assembly / bulk hose distribution.
You will also monitor stock levels and help with shipping procedures and keep the facility clean and tidy by removing debris and rubbish to ensure safety.
You will bring and learn new skills and tasks and be able to communicate verbally and in writing with co-workers and supervisors, and work well with the other production staff to check for defects in products and assemble / despatch them by a set deadline.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES- Follow the company's Health & Safety and Quality guidelines
- Organisational and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of various hose types, braid types and end fitting configurations.
- Operate hose assembly production equipment including measuring, cutting, and crimping
- Testing and packing of the PTFE hose assemblies
- Receive and store products and materials manually or with lift truck
- Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift
- Check stock levels and report deficiencies in products or raw materials
- Ensure packaging and shipping procedures are timely
- Keep the worksite clean to avoid hazards
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
The ideal person for this role must have a strong work ethic, be initiative-taking and have a high attention to detail and product quality.
You must possess a positive working attitude with the ability to work well individually, as part of team and communicate with others.
A manufacturing mindset, interest or background and understanding of manufacturing processes is required. Please note that this position demands stamina and a good physical condition.
