Description
We are seeking a detail orientated and organised Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join a busy business based in Helmsley.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices, verifying transactions, and reconciling statements
  • Utilise accounting software (Quickbooks & Xero) to input and track financial data
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with monthend closing procedures
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of financial transactions
  • Assist with payroll processing

Skills:


  • Be competent in accounting software such as Quickbooks & Xero
  • Ensure that records of all financial transactions, payments to suppliers, expenses, bank reconciliations and cash payments/receipts are accurately inputted and properly maintained in a timely manner to meet internal and external audit requirements

Requirements:


  • Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel
  • Have Relevant financial qualifications
  • Previous experience of Accounts systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Any experience of a rural background would be beneficial
