Description

Our client is a manufacturer based in Burgess Hill looking to employ an addition to their staff to work as a basic assembly technician and machine operative.

You will be mostly assembling internal glass doors using basic hand tools (fixing frames, hinges, brackets, locks etc) or working in their machine shop, cutting metal, drilling holes and rounding off edges using their range of lathes, drills and saws.

Specific assembly experience is not essential, but a good work ethic, some common sense and knowledge of general DIY tasks and using drills, screwdrivers, hammers etc will be expected.

You should have a desire to work as part of a lively, productive environment and take a pride on your work and your attitude to punctuality and reliability.

There is also potential to work and get trained in other departments such as the machine shop (cutting and drilling CNC) once established and progress within the company.

Hours are on an alternating 2 shift pattern of an early/late shift of 7am pm and 10.3am 7.00pm.
