Recent strategies and improvement plans for Gleeds have resulted in significant change and growth across our local and global businesses, resulting in growth requirements for our UK finance team as we aim to maintain a robust support function.


This Finance Business Partner position is a newly created role, with a split focus covering two primary areas: project delivery and reporting.

Your role will include a range of projects of varied complexities, and will involve ensuring effective change management.


Your initial project scope will consist of implementing a project ledger, and further plans involve setting up a new ERP.

Your reporting responsibility covers UK wide, board and regional reporting ownership, delivery being to timetable.

Your core responsibilities as Finance Business Partner will also include:

Acting as trusted adviser to senior management and their teams, building strong partnerships, including time on site / in office.

Challenging stakeholders and creating accountability.


Providing real time analysis and delivering insight that links financial reporting to business performance, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.

Turning data into information allowing effective debate and robust decision making.

Supporting / delivering change to ensure operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered.

Owning and leading accounting approaches and standards.

Providing bid support and audit support when required

About You


Who we're looking for:


Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills:


To be considered for this position, you will need:
Evidence of ownership and delivery of projects, incorporating new ideas and thinking.

Good Attention to detail.

An engaging personality, collaborative attitude and professional manner

A focus on people and quality.


Solution orientated and innovative mindset, with the desire and confidence to input ideas and contribute in all areas of the business.

Excited by operating in a multi-disciplinary environment as part of a global organisation


Qualifications:

We are looking for a part qualified or fully qualified accountant with any of the following bodies:
ICAEW (ACA)


ACCA

CIMA
Degree qualification in a relevant industry such as accountancy & finance or Economics is also desirable, but not essential
