Role - Senior Finance Business Partner
Salary - £65,000 - £75,000
Location - West London


Following a £2.4mil grant, this exciting bio-tech business is seeking a talented and driven Senior Finance Business Partner to support and partner with the research and business development teams.

The Senior Finance Business Partner will report directlyto the CFO and will focus on providing support to research leaders in managing project portfolios, and providing support to the business development team in strategic decision making for the group.


Responsibilities include:

  • Business partner with key stakeholders across the research and business development organisations
  • Provide the research team leadership with financial advice and counsel on all pertinent business matters
  • Supply ongoing, timely and meaningful financial reports (e.g. monthly project spending) and analysis of research spending
  • Lead the research budgeting and monthly portfolio review processes, including liaising with project leaders
  • Support business cases and perform financial analyses on business opportunities to assure sound investments
  • Financial modelling (revenue modelling, valuation, licensing), working closely with the companies business development team to enable strategic decision making
  • Develop and enhance processes and tools to improve efficiency and quality of insights delivered to key customers

About you:

  • Fully qualified (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical finance role supporting research organisations or a consulting role with a focus on financial modelling
  • Advanced analytical capabilities including Excel and database skills
  • Strong business analysis, financial planning and reporting skills that generate business insights that add measurable value. Current knowledge of current trends in finance and functional bestpractices
  • Excellent at workload prioritization. Develops and manages processes that are effective and efficient
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
  • Proven ability to present financial information clearly and concisely with great insight and influence
