Assistant Risk Managers for an
initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend
based remotely within the UK.
Purpose of the Role:
- A number of exciting opportunities have arisen to join the Risk & Policy team, which is responsible for ensuring that Group Sourcing & Supplier Management designs, operates and maintains a robust policy and control environment in line with the bank's riskappetite.
- Group Sourcing & Supplier Management are responsible for crafting and operating a robust framework for the utilization of Supplier services to the Group and you can be a key part of that through involvement with a wide range of activities.
As an Assistant Risk Manager you will be responsible for:
- Working with industry tools including RCSA (IBM OpenPages), SAP Ariba and Service Now to support senior partners in the identification of emerging risks and trends through the end-to-end Sourcing and Supply Chain Management process.
- Coordinating, reporting and interpreting Management Information including Key Risk Indicators & trend identification.
- Supporting the management and oversight of risk activities within RCSA to achieve fully embedded status, including action plans and trigger management.
- Embedding Operational Resilience methodologies throughout our endtoend framework.
- Establishing and building links with internal and external partners to identify business requirements and improve efficiency, providing appropriate support and mentorship,
- An understanding of risk management frameworks, associated tools and methodologies.
- Previous background experience involving sourcing or supply chain ideally within Financial Services, Insurance or similar regulated industries.
- Good attention to detail to ensure that we always produce high quality materials and information.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities, enabling the team to operate in a professional and efficient manner.
- An ability to assimilate facts and weigh against underlying risk frameworks to propose recommendations to business partners.
- A naturally inquisitive disposition and willingness to challenge the way we work and to suggest improvements to processes, with a view of 'Keeping it Simple'.
- An desire to actively seek opportunities to use initiative to identify and drive improvements within the Team.
