Job Description - Housing Officer

The role:

Our Housing Officers work to maintain the Bridge-It Housing standards throughout the company through:

Full property inspections

  • General Cleanliness
  • Clients to be involved as much as possible, in the absence of all clients, task to be carried out by staff
  • Reporting to team leader if redecoration is needed

Paperwork

  • Check that all inventory items are present (monthly)
  • Identify any jobs to be added to systems
  • Carry out fire safety checks and record findings

Duties

  • Complete Property Contacts Record after every visit to a property, identifying property related findings
  • Complete Client Contact Records after every visit to a property, identifying client related findings
  • Report any client concerns immediately to the relevant Team Leader and managers
  • Multiple daily property visits
  • Ensure notice board information is correct and up to date
  • Liaising with Team Leader to ensure Maintenance jobs are actioned and any follow up action completed
  • Supporting & encouraging clients to maintain a good standard of cleanliness at the property

Manage Information

  • Report all concerns to team leader to include action plan
  • Maintain up to date and accurate documentation regarding client group and work undertaken
  • Contribute information necessary for monitoring and evaluation of the service
  • Maintain the confidentiality of staff and clients

Manage Self

  • To seek to work towards a best practice framework, continually evaluating service provision and adapting to needs of client group
  • To participate in personal and professional development
  • To participate in staff supervisions, to evaluate own work and assist in identifying training needs
  • To establish and maintain effective working relationships both within the team
  • Manage time and prioritise workload
  • Contribute to the training of other workers in the team
  • To work in a manner deemed to be fair and consistent

Other

  • To undertake any other duties that from time to time, may be reasonably required
  • To promote Equality and Diversity in all areas of activity and responsibility including employment and service provision

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£21,500.00-£22,500.00 per year
