We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated professionals to join the Macmillan Cancer Navigator Service, a telephone based support service providing a single point of access for all cancer patients under the care of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, including their family and external healthcare providers.

You will be part of a team of 7 Navigators, supported by the Macmillan Patient Support Supervisor.

You will have an opportunity to make a real difference to the experience of cancer patients and their families while enhancing your support and communication skills.

This is a unique role that provides direct telephone contact with our patients as well as the chance to liaise with both clinical and administrative teams internally and externally.

We are advertising 1x substantive role.

To coordinate timely care for patients from referral throughout their treatment

To provide a 'touch point' for patients and GPs with the hospital to ensure two-way communication during treatment

To provide guidance, contact and support for patients as they journey through our hospital(s)

To ensure all appointments are notified in a timely manner providing an excellent patient experience providing required information

Signposting to other support services

Support people affected by cancer to self-manage
