Are you experienced, skilled, and passionate about making a meaningful difference? We're seeking a dedicated Recovery Coordinator to engage and assess our service users, ensuring they receive timely, personalised interventions that cater to their unique needs.

For this role you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a wide range of treatment interventions and programmes.


CGL Hull is an innovative and forward-thinking project with a proven track record of effectively engaging people with complex lives. Our work is centred around the principles of harm reduction, providing non-judgmental, fact-based information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks.


Hours:
Full-time (37.5 hours per week)


Salary:
£27, £31, dependent on experience)


Responsibilities:


About the Role:


  • Provide support to service users from their initial contact with our service throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
  • Implement tailored interventions aimed at reducing the harm caused by opiate use, either through group sessions or oneonone engagement.
  • Ensure service users receive a comprehensive, recoveryfocused detoxification plan, including predetox preparation and postcare support.
  • Collaborate with other organisations and the community to enhance the recovery resources available to service users by referring them to mutual aid groups and other networks.
  • Advocate for the involvement of family members, service users, and the community.
  • Serve as a voice for service users in accessing partnership services.
  • Work closely with service users to facilitate their social (re)integration, enabling them to lead fulfilling and purposedriven lives. This includes promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and selfdetermination.
  • Working collaboratively with our partner agencies to reach the best outcomes for our clients, including GP's and pharmacists.
  • Offering community based clinics for our clients

What we are looking for:


  • Possess knowledge and experience in delivering interventions for service users affected by substances and mainly opiate use.
  • Excel in both verbal and written communication, with proficient IT skills.
  • Demonstrate proactive qualities, working independently with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Hold a strong understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Thrive as a supportive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Exhibit the ability to navigate change effectively, always prioritising the needs of service users.
  • Recognise the significance of information governance processes and commit to adhering to all necessary safeguards.
  • Pursue continuous learning opportunities to enhance your professional knowledge and skills, while also contributing to the growth and development of your colleagues.
