Delve are currently working with an engineering business in the Wilmslow area who are currently looking for a Technical Author to join the business, working closely with the engineering team.


The Role


Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for writing content and illustrations for manuals, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, spares lists and marketing leaflets within an engineering environment.

You will also be proof reading documents ahead of publications to ensure accuracy.


You will be involved in both new products and legacy updates; they have around 4/5 new products on the horizon in the next few month so there will be plenty of work to get stuck into.

There is future potential to grow in this role depending on your aspirations.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Either Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent in experience
  • 2/3+ years' experience in a Technical Author/Illustrator/Writer role within an SME size engineering environment
  • Any exposure within the aerospace sector could be an advantage
  • Experienced with Word, Adobe and Solidworks ideally
  • Technically minded being able to communicate clearly
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and diligence

What you will get in return

For a 37.5 hour working week 08:30-4:30 with flexible working hours, you will receive up to a £40k salary alongside a 5+3% pension, 23 days holidays+bank holidays.
