Responsibilities:


As part of our restructure of the Youth Justice Service (YJS) Health Team in Kirklees an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic Learning Disability Nurse to join the team.


The role is essential in shaping, sustaining, and developing the future integrated YJS health team and ensuring that we make a real difference to the young people we work with.


The post holder will work as an integral part of a multi-agency YJS and alongside other outside agencies to maximize awareness of, and address health issues which affect those young people involved with the YJS, including those where a learning disability is suspected or known.


As a part of the YJS, the post holder will holistically assess and address the health needs of children and young people to improve their health and wellbeing outcomes.

The post holder will provide effective professional leadership around learning disabilities and act as a resource for colleagues, providing advice and information
