Reporting directly to the Senior Director - Global Trade Compliance Operations, the Outreach & Awareness Specialist - International Trade Compliance, will be responsible for developing trade compliance awareness and focal point networks at GE Aerospace locations in the UK and EMEA regions.


Working within the ITC Team, you would would also support the Regional Operations Leaders within the ITC team to ensure the effective development of an Export Focal Point Network and training program andl use in-depth knowledge of the ITC discipline and prior experience in developing and coaching teams to execute functional policy.


Key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the ITC Export Focal Point Network in the UK and EMEA regions; ensuring the inclusion of clear roles and responsibilities that meet both the program and business requirements.
  • Promote awareness of International Trade Compliance requirements at GE Aerospace sites in the UK and EMEA; establish collaborative relationships with site contacts and other disciplines.
  • Design and implement a training schedule, in accordance with the Global ITC schedule and format of learnings, managing offerings both through GE Learning and via inperson settings.
  • With support from ITC regional leaders, create and deliver appropriate UK, US and EU License use training, where required ensuring local language options are available.
  • Design and launch communication and recognition plans for Export Focal Points of contact.
  • Support audit activity in the UK and EMEA, incorporating learnings and corrective actions into the training program.
  • Undertake special projects and support other compliance program continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Wellrounded experience in International Trade Compliance.
  • Previous experience in the management of compliance to export control and sanctions regulations in the UK or EMEA regions.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt and grow in an expanding organisation.
  • Commitment to compliance and integrity.
  • Ability to collaborate among all levels of the ITC organisation and business.
  • Ability to learn export control and sanctions regulations in new markets.
  • Selfstarter who can develop effective networks with internal customers.

Desired qualifications

  • Previous experience in building networks.
  • Strong time management, prioritisation, analytical, and organisational skills, with ability
- to meet deadlines and achieve desired results.

  • Excellent customer relationship, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable and capable of managing multiple initiatives, both collaboratively and independently.
  • Experience in international business, contracts, supply chain, engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Understanding of the process surrounding assessing jurisdiction and classification of items.
