A cyber security company set up 10 years ago who help to deliver complex security initiatives. They are dedicated to helping their clients meet cyber security goals and launching them above all expectations.

They strengthen strategy, build cyber awareness, identify gaps. Follow best practice and deliver initiatives.

As a Junior Security Engineer you will be responsible for day-to-day security operations for most important managed security clients. You will be responding to, investigating and resolving security incidents across a wide variety of security technologies.

This is a progression role that seeks to develop you into a number of other areas within cyber security.

Attend security service update meetings, supporting the sales and technical consultant teams
Owning and responding to security incidents
Responding to security request and escalating where necessary
Producing documentation to report on security activity
Building practice knowledge by shadowing technical consultants on engagements
Consistently and diligently delivering tasks, ensuring quality outputs and client experiences

Occasional out of hours support for some 24/7 clients

The team of 10 work remotely and have team meetings once a month including a team lunch/social.

Who Fits The Bill

Cyber security degree or similar experience
Knowledge of vulnerability scanning software
Passion for security with a good understanding of security principles
A firm grasp of network and network security requests and escalating where necessary
Evidence of selfstudy and commitment to longterm learning
Pick up knowledge and concepts effectively
Good listening skills
Passionate about learning and improving
Good relationship building and communication skills
