About the role:

An exciting opportunity to join our R&D team at Wilton where we carry out research on various projects related to the production of methyl methacrylate (MMA) monomer.

MCG is committed to safety excellence at all scales of operation and sites - you will be expected to not only adhere to the high standards of safety and compliance, but also proactively contribute to our safety culture.

Your responsibilities:

The development and upkeep of chemical process models (reaction kinetic, thermodynamic and catalyst deactivation models) to support the Alpha technology platform.
The identification and implementation of process analytical, data science and modelling technologies (data visualisation, data modelling, chemometrics, machine learning, online process stream analysis, etc.) to the Alpha technology platform.
Lab automation activities within our laboratory and pilot plant facilities.

Your Qualifications and Skills:

A degree or PhD in a physical science (chemistry, physics, mathematics etc.) or chemical/process engineering.
Previous knowledge of model building and the fitting of models to experimental data is desirable.
Proficient in the use of python programming language (or other such as MATLAB) for scientific computations and data management/analysis.
