Information About The Role

ProtectUK enables business, government, policing and the public to come together and share critical information to combat terrorism. As a Content Officer for this invaluable online hub, you'll be at the heart of the action, ensuring that only clear, accurate, relevant information makes it onto the site. If you want to play a key part in our mission to bring safety and security to the nation, now is your chance.

As our ProtectUK Content Officer, you'll oversee the creation, curation and management of all digital content destined for the ProtectUK site.

It's not just a case of uploading content - you'll be making sure everything that appears on the site aligns with the platform's vision while engaging the target audience.

Day to day, you'll be helping users with service requests and making sure we're doing our best for them.

It involves answering queries related to the ProtectUK site and related products such as the e-learning platform and messaging systems.

You'll also receive, update, publish, and modify new and existing content, ensuring it's accurate and consistent. Then there's our forum, which you'll moderate, and our webinars, which you'll monitor.

In addition to strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), you'll need initiative, motivation, and an efficient approach.

You could be working independently or as part of a busy team, so you'll need to be proactive and a good communicator.

Besides the rewarding nature of the job itself, a competitive salary, and a Civil Service pension, you'll also benefit from excellent career and professional development.

Responsibilities
The post holder will be required to do the following:

  • Reviewing and collaborating on service requests from end users to ensure excellent service delivery. This includes assessing and providing content and administrative support, and addressing inquiries related to ProtectUK and its associated products such as the App, e-learning, and NaCTSO messaging systems.
  • Receiving, updating, publishing, and modifying new and existing content on the Platform to maintain accuracy and consistency. Additionally, directing users to relevant content within ProtectUK or to appropriate partners when necessary.
  • Managing forums and webinar capabilities, moderating posts, and comments on forum content, assessing user requests for forum access and webinar participation, monitoring live webinars, and publishing recorded sessions.
  • Planning webinars for delivery by CTP, NaCTSO, and relevant P&P specialists in collaboration with NaCTSO's Business Engagement Team.
  • Reviewing feedback on submissions received from users.
  • Providing a 24/7 CT Policing messaging service for terrorism incident response. This includes receiving, reviewing, and publishing targeted messages as requested.
  • Collaborating and sharing workload with other members of the ProtectUK Delivery Team and ProtectUK Marketing and Insights Team.
  • Conduct meticulous proofreading of content across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to guidelines, while maintaining consistency and providing constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Assisting with other administrative functions within NaCTSO, such as compiling reports and arranging leadership and management meetings.
