As a Principal Data Engineer you will be a technical and data leader in the businesses data team.

You will be accountable for leading the technical, data and process approach for a business area in end-to-end delivery and support of the businesses data assets.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with data product team to determine appropriate prioritisation, sizing, design and technical approaches
Work with technical architects to identify and develop product frameworks
Delivery of data products
Structure business problems to identify appropriate approaches for solution
Produce documentation for large and complex projects/programmes
Designing flexible data products that can fulfil analytical and reporting requirements
Deliver quality solution designs
Create code to process data through data environments
Support and resolve existing code
Providing leadership guidance and support for individuals in the team

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience in leading designing/ delivering high complexity data products
Expertise in using ETL tools and SQL
Experience in exploitation of enterprise data management tech including database platforms
Stakeholder management experience
Mentoring experience
