Business Development Manager

Region - UK


To further accelerate growth a profitable and well funded Fintech is looking for a highly motivated sales professionals to join their team.

In this role you will focus on selling technology led payment and foreign exchange solutions direct to businesses,primarily MME, Corporate & Enterprise in need.


You will be responsible for sourcing new business clients making outbound calls and selling the service to key decision makers.

The ability to immediately build rapport, is an important attribute of the role holder, in order identify a business's requirementsand position the best solution that meets their needs.

A strong background in B2B sales is essential, with a track record of working towards and exceeding targets.


Main Role responsibilities

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract execution to achieve revenue targets
  • Retain and expanding the depth of our client relationships with new business opportunities by conducting professional and effective relationship management
  • Act as the point of contact for Clients with regards to product requests, contracts and where required daily operative matters
  • Keep up to date prospect, client contact activity and opportunity pipeline with Salesforce CRM
  • Present sales reports & forecasts as required by your sales manager
  • Continuously evaluate and propose improvements in current sales process
  • When needed, facilitate other revenue generating action/opportunities owned and operated by other teams, e.g. the Marketing department
  • Participate in and contribute to all relevant industry marketing activities, including conferences, exhibitions, and meetings
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

About you

  • You must be a true selfstarter who is prepared to roll your sleeves up and get involved
  • You can lead from the front, motivated by working in a collaborative fastpaced environment
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in business development/ new business environment.
  • Strong prospecting, qualifying, negotiation and closing skills
  • The ability to provide value to the organisation beyond the current role is highly valued
  • A background in payment foreign exchange sales is preferred or with a strong B2B network from a previously financial services role
