PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIST
Neotherix is a UK based medical technology company developing regenerative scaffolds for tissue repair. We are recruiting a Production Technologist to support the company's growth.

This role will suit someone who wants to work in an innovative healthtech environment and is ready for the challenges of scaling-up.


Key role responsibilities:


  • Maintain manufacturing, verification and validation processes in accordance with all regulatory requirements including in new laboratory facilities where appropriate
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring appropriate devices are made available for clinical investigation on time and within specification including handson assembly where applicable
  • Develop the existing quality management processes into a compliant system, commensurate with the regulatory requirements for the supply of medical devices
  • Management of assigned projects, subcontractors, materials suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to enhance company technology and support innovation, identifying gaps and new opportunities
  • Maintain the Technical Files for Neotherix products to regulatory standard
  • Contribute to new product development and the initiation/management of R&D activities
  • Support colleagues in activities related to fundraising and investment
  • Technical competence in field of direct relevance to the manufacture of Neotherix products (relevant first or higher degree with substantial materials science, polymer chemistry or biomedical engineering component)
  • Willing to take a handson approach to device manufacture
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements for Class III medical devices
  • Demonstrable experience of design control and product manufacture within an ISO 13485 quality management system
  • Have ambition to become the Company expert in the manufacture and supply of Neotherix' electrospun devices and to grow this role as the Company grows
  • Resilient with welldeveloped abilities to prioritise tasks, develop and bring forward wellreasoned recommendations and deliver results on time
  • Experience of managing projects, collaborations, and external subcontractors
  • Awareness of IP and an ability to recognise when it arises
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organising skills and stakeholder management
  • Experience of external audits
  • Experience of lean earlystage organisations (preferably spinout and/or SME)

Production Technologist Role
Full time (or at least 0.8FTE)

Primarily based in York, remote working acceptable when business needs allow

Occasional travel needs (UK)

Salary £28,800 - £34,850
