The Role


Working in one of publishing's vertical brand hubs as a dedicated SEO resource, the Senior SEO Executive is responsible for implementing on-site and content SEO best practice and supporting the content team to ensure all website content is optimised for maximum organic search visibility.


Collaborating with all teams within the Publishing department, the Senior SEO Executive will have a robust understanding of SEO (generalist or specialist) and effectively use analysis and judgement to make complex decisions and clearly communicate these.

They are integral to the development and implementation of the brand's content and SEO strategy, and are responsible for delivering roadmap objectives with direction from the SEO Manager.


The Senior SEO Executive will benefit from a creative environment where autonomous thinking is encouraged, have the chance to test ideas of their own by running SEO experiments and to work on large scale projects.

Our Team
The Brand team is responsible for all of MVF's websites and is tasked with making sure they are all operating at a world class standard in terms of quality and performance


The department consists of:

Vertical brand hubs
  • Set the strategy for our brands and are responsible for ensuring they achieve commercial targets
-
The Content team - responsible for the production of all of our content and assuring it is of the highest quality. on all of our sites and ensuring they meet their organic traffic and revenue targets

The SEO team - responsible for setting on-site and off-site SEO strategy for our sites, for implementing technical SEO best practice and securing high value links and coverage for our websites.


What you'll be doing

  • Prioritise and deliver the brand's onsite SEO strategy
  • Conduct content reviews and provide feedback to the Content team to ensure all website copy is optimised and user intent is met
  • Surface SEO opportunities and communicate the impact of these to the brand Editor to assist with strategic planning
  • Conduct SEO audits to ensure best SEO practice is applied to the website
  • Coordinate crossfunctionally and consult on SEO best practice to all teams within the Brand department
  • Communicate key information to relevant stakeholders and the wider team
  • Test, research and develop new SEO initiatives
  • Deliver data analysis to provide insights that drive actionable outcomes
  • Facilitate delivery of SEO training modules to junior members within the Brand department

What success looks like:


  • Website content is optimised and feedback is provided to writers
  • Onsite SEO opportunities surfaced successfully improve organic search visibility
  • Keyword research and content gap analysis conducted regularly
  • SEO audits are run and necessary fixes are implemented
  • Clear & concise communication of key information to relevant stakeholders and the wider team takes place
  • Key stakeholders understand the work being completed, how it will be achieved and the impact it is expected to have
  • New SEO initiatives are actively tested and reported on
  • Latest industry news and developments are communicated to the team
  • Trainings are routinely delivered to junior members on SEO best practice
