Shipping Officer - £24.72 per hour inside ir months (extensions highly likely) - Stevenage - fully onsite working - 1 stage interview - Sector: Aerospace / Defence


Yolk recruitment a recruiting for a shipping officer to work with a world class manufacturing client in the aerospace and defence sector.


This is an exciting opportunity to liaise and work closely with our export control team, local customs officers, and freight forwarders.

To deliver a benchmark export and shipping service to the business


Responsibilities:


  • Creation, completion and management of documentation required to effect export deliveries, to include, transport documents, hazardous goods note, customs formalities etc.
  • Topicality of Import, Export and Transport Registers
  • Liaise with transport both UK and International.
  • Undertake Imports and report Intrastats as required.
  • Assist Export Control Department in compliance with regards to Export Licences
  • Maintain standards with all transport legislation
  • Identify process improvements to create an efficient and cost effective service
  • Day to day knowledge of all movements from site

  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience within an Engineering/Manufacturing organisation.
  • Knowledge of export legislation

Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience within the aerospace or defence sector
