What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the development, maintenance and/or deployment of a SHE management system (including objectives, processes, and assurance), and meeting the requirements of BAE Systems Operational Framework and International SHE Standards (such as ISO45001 and ISO14001).
- Providing competent and comprehensive SHE advice and support to Line Leaders
- Undertake SHE audits and investigations, prepare reports, identify root causes and corrective/preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence
- Supporting the development and implementation of innovative SHE change programmes, ensuring consistency and effective improvement in SHE risk management and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, influencing them to appropriately consider SHE factors during decision making
- This role will also require some international travel
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent NVQ in health and safety
- Previous experience working as a SHE professional in a highrisk environment, with working knowledge of SHE regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and Guidance
- Previous experience of auditing to international standards
- Working towards Chartered Membership of IOSH or equivalent professional membership
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent

The team:
As a Senior SHE Advisor within the Weapons UK Business, you will be providing competent and professional safety, health and environmental advice, support and assurance to our business operations and programmes.
The role will support Line Leaders in their deployment of the Safety, Health and Environmental policy, management systems and objectives for their area(s) of responsibility.
