Lilleybrook Care Home is a caring, warm and friendly 60 bed nursing home where we offer support and person centered care to each and every resident.

We offer residential, palliative, nursing and dementia care for residents, and we are passionate about ensuring residents continue to lead active lives and play a fulfilling role within the community.

Working closely with each resident, and part of a team, you'll assess and meet their individual needs, delivering their lifestyle and social personal care plan that helps each person to live a fuller life.

Providing the very best levels of care, you'll make sure that all procedures are carried out to the highest standards, optimizing the well being of every resident.

You see every person in your care as an individual, and work closely with the wider team to create an environment that delivers skilled, clear communication, and respect and dignity for everyone.

The accurate completion of all relevant records is essential.

What you can bring


We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, friendly and creative Activities Assistant to join our team, who can offer experience and knowledge to support residents daily who are living with Dementia and other health conditions.

You will need to have an excellent understanding of Dementia and its impact on those living with it, including the effect within families.


This is an active role that requires you to have effective communication skills with our residents, their families and our staff and you must be able to use your own initiative.

We will require you to have the ability to build rapport with residents and staff, whilst being able to engage them in daily meaningful activities with warmth and compassion.


You will be required to complete and update daily records and also contribute to creating person - centered activity plans as part of your role.

You will need to be reliable and have good organisational skills.


We are passionate about ensuring our residents are active members of society through community engagement with groups of all ages.

We look to continually promote this for the well being of our residents. You will also need to be able to confidently engage with other professional services.

Salary:
£10.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

  • Cheltenham, GL53 9ER: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
