**PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Brush Seal Assembly and Welding Department 26B


SOUTH SITE
**The role: **As a key member of the Leadership Support Team (LST) and reporting to the Production Manager, this role is
responsible for supervising the day-to-day smooth running of activities within the Brush Seal Assembly and
Welding Department 26B.

The role requires a coordinated approach to customer and production needs, working proactively with all
business functions to resolve limitations, optimizing workflow to ensure on time deliveries are achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities:
CMR722A defines the role guidelines for a member of the LST.

**Specific responsibilities for this role include: - Working closely with the production control department this role will require you to schedule and manage

the department workflow to meet the daily / weekly targets, supported by your department deputies. This
will include the ability to issue works orders and kit component parts via the ERP system where necessary.
Complete any booking adjustments required on the ERP system for component parts to balance usage and
maintain accurate stock figures.

  • Work closely with the Dept 26D (turning dept) Supervisor to ensure that the reconditioning of welding
fixtures and weld turning is processed to support the assembly workflow.

  • Ensure department production KPI's and 5s are being monitored and achieved with action plans in place.
  • Ensure the relevant department tooling and measuring equipment is kept in good order, readily available
and calibration up to date as required. Tooling not in use should be catalogued and moved to the main
tooling store. When issues are identified raise internal and maintenance requests via the share point system.

  • Action department drawing changes for tooling and parts via the drawing change system.
  • Ensure robust Program control for all CNC processes is in place and adhered too.
  • Be responsible for maintaining stock levels of consumables such as "spacer shims".
  • Liaise closely with the tuft cutting department to ensure the availability of tufts in line with the weekly load
plan.

  • Manage the departments time and attendance including daily/weekly timesheet calculations and return to
work process. Process any CMF428 flexible working requests from your team.

  • Ensure suitable process CVI's are in place and staff are trained to the required standard and complying with
all company documentation, work instructions and policies relevant to your department and their roles.

  • Ensure safe working practices and work instructions for both manual and assisted lifting of parts and tooling
is in place and adhered too. Risk assessments in place and up to date.

  • Attend and contribute to production meetings as part of the Leadership Support Team.
  • Actively support the MRB process providing feedback to your team when required including the delegation
of rework.

  • Manage the training records and identify training opportunities for your dept. Actively support and utilise
personnel development programs (i.e., LEAD, MLP, TTT).

  • Ensure compliance and adherence to company health and safety requirements. Respond to any H&S
infractions and general conduct of employees and contractors within their area and elsewhere on site. Seek
support from HR and/or appropriate Manager.

Qualifications & Experience Required:


  • Proven supervisory experience in a similar role.
  • A basic understanding of welding processes beneficial.
  • A recognised Engineering apprenticeship or appropriate work experience.
