Description
Our client based in Theale are looking for a Skilled HGV Technician on a temporary -permanent basis. You will be required to work in their Service Centre

- £17-£20 an hour depending on experience


SPLIT SHIFTS MORNING SHIFT :
30 AFTERNOON SHIFT 14:00- 23:00 SATURDAYS WILL BE REQUIRED

Main Responsibilities

  • Test vehicles, diagnose faults and recognise, and report on vehicle or component defects, or symptoms of impending failure.
  • Service, adjust and repair vehicles or components using the necessary equipment and tools in a proper and safe manner, within the allotted repair times.
  • Examine vehicles completely and report
  • Implement technical service instruction data.
  • If replacement parts are required, liaise with Shift Leader and Parts Department to produce a suitable inventory.
  • Recognise repairs which need specialist skills i.e., welding/electrical/testing.
  • Be familiar with work loading, appointment system and Reception procedure.
  • Carry out Manufacturer's modifications, as required.
  • Keep an accurate account of work carried out, and of time taken on each job, by use of Companyapproved documentation, in accordance with specified procedures.
  • Ensure cleanliness of workshop is maintained.
