CIVIL DESIGN ENGINEER

Our Client is an independently-owned, integrated, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy of over 700 people, operating out of 20 offices in the UK.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Opportunity for a full time Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Birmingham.

Their Infrastructure Division have been busy winning and delivering work throughout and are now in a position to invest in new people and grow.

They have earned a reputation for high quality and we have real depth in the team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESONSIBLE FOR:

Scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs and project coordination
Upholding the quality and accuracy of deliverables
Design and site meetings, site inspections and progress reporting
Leading projects including budgetary control
Preparing fee proposals
Mentoring junior colleagues

THE ATTRIBUTES YOU WILL BRING:

A relevant qualification in civil engineering and UK consultancy experience
Working knowledge of Section 104, 278 and 38 adoption procedures
Experience of working with developers
Working knowledge of relevant software such as AutoCAD, Microdrainage, Civil 3D, AutoTrack and Drawnet or similar packages
Understanding of UK planning procedures and experience of providing technical support to secure planning approval
Experience of securing technical approvals from highway and drainage authorities
Selfmotivated team player with good people skills
Integrity and credibility. People want to work with you (customers and colleagues)
