VEHICLE TECHNICIAN / MOT TESTER

We are currently looking for a vehicle technician / MOT tester to join our team at our site in Bridgwater Our staff are knowledgeable and always happy to help customers delivering a seamless experience about the cars we work with, and we are always on hand to provide help and lend expertise for anything our customer needs.

Working as part of a team, this role offers you the opportunity perform general MOT & servicing with also the potential future opportunity of putting your technical expertise to use and solve complex technical issues, whilst gaining new skills and exposure to new vehicle models and methods of working.

Responsibilities:

*Conduct MOT tests to DVSA required standards making sure you are always up to date with the latest training.

Complete scheduled vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines

Undertake diagnostic activities to identify causes and solutions for customer vehicle issues.

Competent stripping & rebuilding engines & gearboxes.

Liaise directly with customers and service advisors, providing outstanding customer service.

Ensure vehicle servicing activities are completed in a safe and high-quality manner, in line with both internal and manufacturer requirements.

Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure product and service knowledge is up to date.

Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice technicians, where applicable.

Required Skills and Experience

You will hold a current MOT licence (*we would also consider putting you through the MOT certification if you do not currently hold an MOT tester licence if you excel in all other aspects), Level 3 qualified vehicle technician with a full UK driving licence, ideally with manufacturer experience, although this isn't essential.

In addition to your prior experience, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail

A strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.

Hourly rate dependant on experience.

£12.53-£14.50 per hour
