Atalian Servest is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join our passionate and driven team in Inverness


Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • To be part of the Engineering Support team working on behalf of the SCTS /COPFS portfolio across Scotland.
  • Install/maintain and repairs pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems
  • Inspects drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems
  • Responsible for undertaking mechanical & heating PPM works within the region in an efficient and safe manner, with repairs undertaken as required.
  • Undertake routine PPM tasks in line with latest SFG 20 procedures
  • To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPM's are completed within the contract defined time SLA's & KPI's. To maintain all buildings to a high standard through a proactive manor.
  • Reporting to the Regional Manager/Supervisor they will be responsible for the delivery of the contract within their allocated sites and in accordance with the contractual SLA's, Atalian Servest business policies and processes.
  • To undertake maintenance duties as required to making sure all reports are accurately completed within specific timescales
  • To provide a flexible approach to working practices within the maintenance team which could involve undertaking tasks associated with building maintenance
  • Ensure contractual services are delivered in such a way that it is possible to achieve agreed SLA's and quality targets.
  • To produce accurate documentation as required and to keep uptodate records of statutory inspections e.g. L8 documentation, etc.
  • Undertake minor quoted works from initial outset, through installation to completion as required whilst completing all required test certification
  • To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
  • To provide emergency callout response for the client as required and work as part of a call out Rota.
  • To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
  • To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
  • To take a proactive approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
  • To be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs always.
  • Working in a safe manner always, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Atalian Servest H&S policy.
  • Developing the service offering in line with customer requirements, delivering continuous improvement activities, responding to customer concerns and implementing corrective action when required
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, relevant stakeholders, staff and external bodies
  • Developing effective communication and strong client / supplier relationships to aid business development and retention
  • Ensuring SLAs and measurable KPIs for all works allocated to you are achieved
  • Ensuring you have adequate resources to deliver the services in scope including direct labour and the supply chain to deliver the required volume of work to meet contractual SLA's.
  • Project yourself, your team and the company in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Participation in FM and Atalian Servest management meetings as required.
  • Sharing best practice with Regional Supervisors and Senior Management and the wider FM team.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the Atalian Servest group to promote collaboration and an integrated delivery of client services.
  • Work closely with the Regional Supervisor to undertake business improvement projects as directed.
  • Helping create and maintain a positive safety culture, leading by example at all times
  • Ensuring all employees are aware of their obligations under the Atalian Servest Health & Safety Policy, and that work is carried out in accordance with the policy at all times.
  • Ensuring subcontractors work in accordance with the Atalian Servest Health & Safety policy.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with the agreed Atalian Servest processes including the production of job / project specific Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments and Method statements to ensure that works are always planned and deliveredto the highest levels of safety standards.
  • Ensuring that all health, safety and environmental incidents and complaints are reported and investigated and that action points arising from site safety surveys, audits, accident reports and other recommendations are successfully closed off

About You:


  • Good team member with excellent communications skills with all levels of the workforce
  • Technically qualified
  • NVQ or City & Guilds in the following: plumbing/mechanical services desired.
  • Served a recognised apprenticeship
  • Planning skills
  • Clean Full UK Driving LicenceMin 3 yrs. experience working within Facilities Manageme
