TA required to start from 10th June 2024

27.5 hours per week (flexible)

We are looking for a part time teaching assistant to work in a mixed key stage class and join the team at our friendly Church of England Primary School.

The role will also include lunch time supervisor duties. The position would be suitable for a person with experience of working with children. Job shares will be considered.

We require a teaching assistant who is/has:

• Caring, patient and intuitive to the needs of the child to enable them to access the curriculum as designated by the teacher.
• Professional, responsible and aware of the need to maintain confidentiality.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Enthusiasm and commitment
• Flexible in approach and willing to help with general classroom activities.
• Able to communicate effectively with pupils and staff.
• Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
• Basic understanding of child development and learning
• An awareness of responsibilities for health and safety of yourself and others
• Successful and satisfactory background check received from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) after interview and before appointment
• A commitment to safeguarding children
• NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience
